"The Ultimate Answer to Life, The Universe and Everything...42!" Deep Thought

An enormous supercomputer named 'Deep Thought' has calculated the answer, but what is the question? Very clever Douglas Adams, but also very annoying. Sometimes outcomes don't meet problems adequately. Sometimes answers don't quite make sense. I'm going to use this strategy to run as an independent in the next election.

Let's consider the ScoVinci code for Landlords and Tenants. The Royal Ascent was granted in the 'Big V' on Friday. Thanks 'Guvna', anyone else rolling their fingers on the desk? Problem is, no one in the legal profession has quite deciphered it yet.

I'm going to refer to 'The Guide'. Please seek independent legal advice and do not try this at home.

RENT = APRIL this year vs. APRIL last year as a percentage of turnover, based on BAS.

BALANCE = split 50/50 between 'waiver' and 'deferral' to be amortised over the remaining term of your lease or 24 months, whichever is greater. No interest or penalty can be applied to outstanding amounts.

OUTGOINGS = Any relief received by landlord needs flow down to the tenant. Balance of outgoings to be dealt with via negotiation. I'm suggesting that a portion will need to go into the deferral account. I also suggest that this remains commensurate with rent. Good luck.

Please set your agreements in stone as of May 1st, not to be reviewed until JobKeepers ends. Monthly reviews, will disincentive tenants to create business turnover, particularly heading into Winter. Do the 'profitability' math.

As Marvin the Paranoid Android said, "I'm fifty thousand times more intelligent than you and even I don't know the answer. It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level."

I'm heading to Comic-Con with news. I'm blowing the lid on this epic mystery. The question is... "What is six times nine?" Go figure.
