“I have a disease? Bullshit. I cured it with my brain.” Charlie Sheen
Tiger blood, angels and demons.
I don't like double dipping or double quoting, but when it comes to C-Rock, it's hard not to recite and quote his brilliant, delusional vernacular.
"I was banging seven-gram rocks, because that’s how I roll. I have one speed, I have one gear: Go." C-Rock.
C-Rock went turbo, hardcore. A poly-addict who dived head first down a slippery slope where reality, friends and family were simply collateral damage.
Don't discount the damage of addiction. Don't forget the correlation with mental health. Charlie lost his grip on the handle of reality. Charlie-boy was neither aware, nor in control of the destruction he was causing himself and others. He set up camp at ground zero, smack bang in the middle of a nuclear psychotic episode.
Forget C-Rock's Hollywood flu, how about the Spanish flu? A genuine pandemic, that penetrated before modern communication and technology was born. A century ago, just after we were 'blessed' enough to survive the first world war. I'm seeing minor comparisons to bushfires and COVID-19.
WWI casualties were around 40 million. The Spanish flu got 50 million. The global population around the same time was 1.7 billion. More than 5% of the global population were wiped out. Forget the collateral damage.
In WWI, we lost 70,000 Aussie men, young and virile. The Spanish flu got another 15,000 men, women and children. An epic daily double killed almost enough to pack out the 'G'.
COVID-19 has claimed a grand total of 80, many in the twilight of their life. The 2019/20 bushfires got 34 poor souls. That's a grand total of 114 out of 25.5 million people or .000005% of our Aussie population. There is that many in the half time pie queue.
Old mate C-Rock was, or still is, clearly unhinged with no perspective. Lets add some, with an over dose of reality. COVID-19 is serious. Bushfires are serious. But this is not WWI or the Spanish flu. It's a mild dose of Hollywood flu with a paintball battle in the morning.
“You have the right to kill me, but you do not have the right to judge me. Boom. That’s the whole movie. That’s life.” C-Rock.
I'm as confused as you.
